Single Fundamental Skills Group Lesson: Wild Mountain will provide participants with a fundamental skills group lesson during the first two weeks of the season. This lesson will be offered for both skiing and snowboarding and is a great way for beginners to build confidence and get moving on the snow quickly. The fundamental skills lesson lasts for one hour and is led by a Wild Mountain instructor. In your lesson, you will learn about your equipment, how to use your bindings and how to properly carry your skis. Once on the snow, Wild Mountain instructors will teach you how to step in and out of your skis or snowboard. You will be taught the first movements on the snow, such as skating, gliding, and side-stepping. Once you are ready for the conveyor, Wild Mountain instructors will teach you how to load and unload the conveyor. You will be taught the basic fundamentals of stopping using the "pizza" technique and turning successfully on the hill to give you the confidence to ski on your own. The group fundamental lesson starts at 4:30 p.m. and participants should check in at the Lesson Counter. You must be pre-registered for the fundamental skills group lesson (only offered the first two weeks of club).
